BMC Classic Marx US Howitzers - OD Green 3pc Plastic Army Men Field Artillery

BMC Toys brings back another toy from the Golden Age of Plastic Army Men with the Classic Army Men Collector Series. This field artillery set includes 3 Long-barrel Howitzers, each measuring 7.25 x 2.25 x 2.8 inches tall. The guns are made from stiff OD Green color HIPS plastic and feature rolling wheels, as well as a lot of detail with a little bit of flashing. These iconic Plastic Army Men accessories were first produced in 1958 by LOUIS MARX AND COMPANY for their legendary Battleground Military Playsets and were included in numerous sets spanning many years. The original version was spring loaded but was later changed to a non-firing version to comply with safety laws. At some point, the axle was also changed from a single metal axle to integrated plastic axles. This new production is manufactured using the original PL-934 mold, making it a set of real American Made plastic toys meant to be set up, knocked over, picked up, and played with for many years to come. The BMC Classic Howitzer 3 Piece Set is packed in a polybag with insert card and recommended for ages 5 and up.
