BMC WWII German Hanomag Halftrack - 5pc Tan Plastic Army Men Armored Vehicle

The WW2 HANOMAG HALFTRACK from the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIER COLLECTOR SERIES is one of the most iconic vehicles of WW2. This Armored personnel carrier features rolling wheels with metal axles and comes with 4 figures. The vehicle is made from stiff tan color ABS plastic and has lots of authentic details including printed bar-cross markings. It measures 2.5 inches tall x 2.7 inches wide x 7 inches long and is approximately 1:32 scale. The halftrack also includes front and rear mounted guns and 4 seated German soldier figures made from soft tan color plastic.

The Hanomag Company of Germany designed this off-road armored personnel carrier in 1938. Its official model was Sd.Kfz. 251, or Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251. It was commonly referred to as SPW, Schützenpanzerwagen, half-track, or armored infantry vehicle. These half-track vehicles were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company around 2010. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. collaborated with BMC Toys to make them available to today's youngsters. BMC Toys, founded by Bill McMaster in 1991, specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic realistic style of the 1950s and 1960s.
